Indie Game of the Week - Guild of Dungeoneering
Played by Martyr
Guild of Dungeoneering is a fast paced and addictive Card based Roguelike RPG. The basic idea of crafting the dungeon as you move forward adds a very fun and interesting tactical layer to the game. Letting you progress in a way that you choose, from placing monsters, rooms, and amazing treasure. The game also sports a unique adorable art style and wonderful minstrel musical score. The over all game works very well and is designed well with no bugs that I found, despite a lack of an options menu. There are a few hiccups along the road though in the form of RNG(Random Number Generators). The game is focused on fast replayability and while this works for the most part, it also lends itself to getting screwed over occasionally with crappy loot. Having to repeat a dungeon over again until things work out in your favor. There is also a bit of confusion about movement but this is easy to overcome. Guild of Dungeoneering is sure to make you smile and entertain you but it lacks a certain long lasting feeling to it all. The game is somewhat of a gear treadmill with a fun battle system. This makes it great for picking up and playing and coming back to later. If you enjoy a unique combat system, crafting a strategy/dungeon/guild, and tongue and cheek humor. You should check out Guild of Dungeoneering. Big thanks to the developer/publisher for a chance to play this game!
