Sometimes games can deliver a message that is bittersweet. From the visuals, to the music, This War of Mine shows us the horrors of its namesake. We take the role of not heroes, nor soldiers, but ordinary people who are trying to survive in a harsh environment. 11 Bit studios says they were inspired from real events, as they crafted this survival/strategy game. Gathering food, crafting tools, and scavenging are some of the things you can expect. There are plenty of other dangers out there and perhaps others that could use your help. The decision is yours and there will be consequences. If we can take anything from This War of Mine, its that simply war is a terrible thing and brings nothing but suffering.
